Before getting married.

So this is the first blog I have posted in my entire life. I feel the same way now as I do when I go to write in my journal after not having written in it for several months or even years. I don't know where to start. Should I start with today? Should I go back to the day me and Randy got married? Should I randomly talk about different times in my life or randomly explain several pictures? So many questions!

I suppose the best way to do this, since this blog IS called 'Williams Fam', is to write about just that... the Williams Fam, as in, the Olga and Randy Williams Fam. A breif summary of the past couple years or so, since we started dating, should suffice as a quick update and then (hopefully) from this point on I will keep my blog up to date. Here goes...

The Summer of 2007

Early in 2007 I finally convinced my parents that it was a good idea for me to move out of the house and get an apartment of my own. This is when I moved in with Whitney Butts, a girl I had met in my chemistry lab. It was at this point that I was introduced into a new student ward up at the University of Utah. You guess it... it was the famous University of Utah 35th ward. It was in this ward where I met Randy Williams.

I remember the very first time I layed eyes on this handsome fellow... I had decided to join a group of young adults, from our stake, in an Ultimate Frisbee game on some Tuesday night at Liberty Park. It so happened that Randy decided the same thing. He made me promise that if he scored our team a point that I would give him a hug. Well, he DID score a point... but he never got a hug, well, that night. :P

Fall 2007 Semester

As time went on I discovered that a lot of Randy's classes up at the U of U were located right next to my classes. This was the case because he was an engineering major, and at the time, so was I. Soon after that, I discovered his proficiency in Physics and Matlab. It so happened that at that same time I was struggling with a Physics class AND a Matlab class. Needless to say we ended up spending a LOT of time together as he helped me with my homework and studying for exams. After a while he finally got up the nerve to ask me out on a date. This is when it all started...

January 1, 2008

On January 1, 2008 at about 2:00 am, after a New Nears Eve party in Monroe, Utah, Randy took me on a small walk, up one of the hills by his parents house, where the stars were ever so beautiful. After we talked awhile about the stars and the eternities Randy asked me to marry him. I said yes. :)

April 2008 (Bridals)

Trudy Simmons, the mother of my childhood friend (Amber Simmons), was so nice to do the photography for our wedding. Here are some of the bridals she took:

The necklace I'm wearing in this picture is one that Randy gave me for our first Christmas.

I like this picture because it shows what was really going on 'behind the scenes'. Randy holding everyghing and Amber handing me my boquet.

My older sister Rosie was married to Alex Getts. I was a brides maid for her wedding. :)

The day after my older sister Rosie was married to Alex Getts in the Salt Lake Temple, me and Randy were married in the Manti Temple.
