April 2015

Well April definitely flew by!  We are definitely still getting the hang of a third child and some days are better than others but I think we're getting it down. :)  so far.  I'll let the pictures tell the rest:

So I pulled out all of Lena's baby clothes to go through them so I could lend them to a friend.  I cannot believe how emotional I got doing this.  I thought to myself: "Why is something as superficial as clothes making me cry?  This is silly"  Then I realized it's not the clothes making me emotional... but all of the memories and flashbacks I got when seeing them.  It's so crazy to think back on that time of our lives with our first baby... man it was different.. exciting and definitely hard.  I wondered if having another girl would help me "re-live" those days by being able to wear these same clothes but I realized that it would still be a completely different situation.  Those memories and to be cherished and the NOW should also be cherished... change should be embraced because it is inevitable.  Anyway, I'm not sure if I'm making any sense but these are the thoughts I was having.  As a side note:  This particular dress is one that my sister Eva bought when I was pregnant with Lena... I remember having a cycling class up at the U at the time and we had so much fun talking about my future little girl as we walked to class. :)

I loved this romper on her... Lena came and saw me while I looked through her clothes and had so much fun looking at them too.  I'm glad I can still share special moments with her... no matter what clothes she fits into at the time.

Edmund at exactly one month.  I always wanted to do the cute chalk board label thing but honestly... I'm lucky if me and all of the kids get dressed for the day... which really doesn't always happen.

Walter trying to dress himself... It's so adorable!  I can't get over the cuteness of this kid!

Here are some more one month pictures:

Very first time attempting the sling facing out.  It was obviously WAY to early for facing out... he looked so tiny in this thing.

Easter Egg decorating. :)

Walter had fun and of course it was a challenge to keep him for dumping ALL of the eggs into the colors... we probably should've made more... it went by way too fast.

Lena did a great job with the eggs! :)  She loved mixing the colors. :)

Edmund didn't have as much fun with the decorating.

Easter Morning:

Can I just say that every holiday/birthday this year is totally low key (not that I have a high key) this year with the new baby and all.  The night before Randy and I had just barely laid down on our pillows after getting Edmund to sleep when Randy said: "Aren't we supposed to have like Easter baskets out or something for tomorrow?"  I had gone to Soelbergs that day quickly to pick up a few overpriced things for their baskets... we set it all out the next morning before they woke up. :D

Edmund with his pumpkin bib on Easter... mother of the year right here!

Our neighbors hosted a small Easter Egg hunt which was fun for the kids. :)

Walter actually got quite a few eggs... I was impressed!

Just one of those moments when Lena and Walter were playing nice together. :)

Tummy Time!

Lena and Walter were pretending that the carpet was water and that they were swimming... I was up feeding Eddy and came down to this:  SO CUTE!!!  Lena even helped put Walter's on.

This picture describes Edmund really well... always spitting up.  SO MUCH.  I'll admit it was a little frustrating at first... I think I'm used to it now though I still never have a burp cloth when I need it.

Oh,  I forgot to mention that a bit before he turned a month old he acquired thrush (a yeast infection in his mouth) which is also something that I had as a baby... (It happened to be when my mom's family had a family reunion... I'm known by all of our extended family as the baby with the purple mouth.)  so anyway, I was painting his mouth 4 times a day... that was fun... not.  Luckily he was still able to nurse... Anyway, that was officially my first time taking all three of my children to the store... I got to the store.. parked the car and then brought a cart right next to the car.  I got Lena and Walter out and made them sit in the basket together and then put Edmunds carseat on the handles.  He walked in, stopped by the pharmacy and then walked out and I got all of the kids BACK into the car.  I just realized the other day that the pharmacy has a drive-through.  HA!

Walter actually wanted to hold Edmund without prompting.  It was really cute. :)

You know it wouldn't be Utah without it... Snow day in April!

I went out for a girls day and Lena made a gift for me while I was gone.  The cutest little bear set!  Randy helped cut out the bears head but she did everything else by herself!  Chair, table, bowl, spoon and ball.  This girl is SO creative!!!  I can't believe she was able to figure out how to make legs on the chair and table.  So cute!

Easter Church Outfits (same ones we used for Edmund's blessing)

Randy's and Sam's birthday party.  We did them joint this year since there was so much flu going around we had to keep canceling Randy's until it was Sam's birthday.  Thanks Sam, for sharing!

So I don't know if I've mentioned this... but Walter looks almost exactly like Sam did when he was the same age.  They are SO cute together and Walter loves "his Sam".

Birthday Boy. :)
