Easter

We had another Easter egg hung with Jimmy on Saturday which was a lot of fun... On Easter morning Lena was excited to see what the Easter bunny brought her... she was so cute and kept saying "The Easter bunny is so nice to bring me these things!".

Wink! ;)

Lena can wink!  I can't even wink!  She's so good at it too... Randy taught her this of course...winking for me looks just like blinking. ;)

Easter Egg Hunt

We went to a neighborhood Easter egg hunt yesterday and Lena loved it...she was so funny and picked up random eggs here and there...passing a ton.  It was fun to watch her get so excited about it. :)

Lena and Forgiveness

Having two kids to take care of is hard... Because Walter is so demanding I often feel so discouraged that I don't get to give very much of my attention to Lena... I could not ask for a better big sister to Walter...she never shows any sign of jealousy and is so good at playing on her own and being happy...oh how i miss having more time with her...  I feel like a terrible mother of two a lot of the time because i lose my patience too quickly...here's an example:

The other day Lena and I were eating at the table and I was giving Walter his vitamin little by little because it made him take his binky and stay calm while we ate... Lena was being hyper and wanted to hold it...i told her "no"because it could spill...i had to say this several times...well i got up to get something and came back to the vitamin spilled all over the table...just then Walter started screaming... I lost my patience and yelled at Lena.  She got offended and ran to her room... She never does that, we usually have to put her in her room.  I broke down crying telling myself I was not cut out for this and discouraged at what I got myself into.  Poor Lena, who just wanted to do what I was doing and who is always so good and patient with me never being able to attend to her right away, got yelled at...  Well in the midst of my tears Lena returns downstairs to find me in my sad state... "why are you sad?" She asked. I said "I'm sad that i yelled at you, I'm so sorry"  she quickly said "it's okay, here, let me get you something" and she ran to grab me a granola bar, "here, if you eat this you will be happy" later she said "I'm sorry". "For what?" i asked... "for yelling at you".  

Oh Lena, how grateful i am that you are so willing to forgive me and my shortcomings as a mom.  You are truly like unto Christ who is so quick to forgive.  I love you so much!

3 Weeks... ish

So I feel like Walter is being a camera hog and decided it was time for him to share with his sister. :)  Look at that cute serious girl!

1 Month AND 4 weeks

It might be a little nerdy but i think it's pretty cool that Walter is one month old and four weeks old on the same day!  Only babies born in a non-leap year February are entitled to that awesomeness.  :)
It has been a crazy month with two kids and has gone by really fast.  We've decided that it's our fate to have babies who keep us busy.  I'm sure it's not as bad as it could be and I'm not trying to complain,  I'm so grateful that i get to call this new little life mine... I just want my kids to know that, if they have same type of babies, we know how they feel and were able to get through it. :) 
Walter, though as fussy as Lena was is definitely more cuddly than she was... Which i love.  He's also a better eater.   I'm just starting to get to know his little personality and I'm so excited to get to know him even more as the days progress.

Smiles and Daddy Loves

Walter has been smiling here and there but of course we can mover catch it on camera...i caught an almost smile today and think it is sufficient for now. :)
Randy is an amazing husband and father.  I love that he loves spending time with our kids.  He's been so good to help me out and even cook dinner since I've been a slacker in that department lately.

First Shoes

Walter wore sees for the first time today... I thought it was cute enough to post a picture. :)

First Immersed Bath

Walter was finally able to be fully immersed in his bath water today... Well, not his head of course. :)  because of this he actually liked his bath or at least he didn't scream the whole time.   Lena loves to help out with his bath, which consists of playing with the wash clothes in his bath water. :)

Best Big Sister

Lena has been such a cute big sister.   She will spend like five minutes just talking to Walter about different things and teaching him new things.  For example, in this picture she put her cup of fish crackers by him and said, "these are fishies, can you say that? Fish-ies."  She will also read him her books all of the time.  I love this sweet little girl!

Feeding the ducks.

We are so excited for happy warm sunny weather. We took advantage of it and went to feed the ducks.  Lena found two ducks that would follow her around and loved it.  When they walked away she asked them, "where are you going ducks?"
Walter hung out in the swing. :)
