What's This Grass Stuff?

This was Lena's very first time sitting on the grass. She wasn't sure what to think it. I think she was scared to let any part of her body touch it because she kept both arms up and one leg up so that they weren't touching the grass, it was pretty much adorable! :) I expected her to start pulling it up right away and eat it, that's what she does with everything else!

Every Time

Yes, this happens every time I'm taking the picture of Randy and I... Randy's head gets cut off... :P oh well... you can still see how cute he is even if the top of his forehead is missing. Incase you were wondering what happened to us, since Lena is the one taking up most of our blog... mainly because she takes up most of our lives... we are still here and doing great! We are loving being parents and, although we have had some rough times adjusting, we still have a great (if not better) relationship with each other after all of the trials.

With Grandma

Here's Lena spending time with her Grandma. I am always surprised at how excited she is to see her Grandma even after it's been months and I would think that she would've forgotten who she is. She is typically a little shy to people she doesn't see often, but with Grandma and her Great Grandma Goold (Mary) Lena is just ready to jump in their arms and say "hi". It has been fun to see them with her and to see them get so excited when she's excited to see them.

Me and Lena

Here's a picture of me with my baby girl Lena. I have been having so much fun being her mom, she is such a busy girl and everyone is always so amazed at some of the crazy things she does, such as: roll her tongue at you, crawl with one knee and one foot and just get so intense when she gets excited or mad. I have also been able to find a good routine lately as a mom. Before I was getting so stressed out with not being able to do everything like, cleaning, deep cleaning, laundry, cooking, exercising, etc... but I finally feel like I have a routine and am able to get things done. As far as cooking goes, my visiting teacher mentioned that she does the grocery shopping once a week after planning out the meals for that week. Monday mornings are now my days for shopping and on Sunday nights we sit down together and choose our meals for the week. It has been so awesome knowing what I'm going to make for dinner every evening. :) I feel like such a better mom but know that I still have SO much to improve on. I'm excited that I am making progress. :)

Walkin'

She can't walk by herself yet. But she LOVES to walk around if you give her a little bit of help. :) She started doing this when she was about three or four months old. Since then she's learned how to crawl and stand up on her own.

Fun in Monroe

We went to St. George for this last weekend and stopped to stay the night at Grandma and Grandpa's in Monroe. It was the first really nice warm day of the year so we were able to put Lena in some spring clothes. :) This is her smiling through her binky and chillin' with daddy. :)

More Standing!

:)

I just really liked this picture so I decided to post it.

"Oooooo"

Here is the awesome face that Lena has been making all of the time lately. She also has this other thing where she rolls her tongue when she gets mad. We haven't caught the tongue roll on camera yet, but will definitely post a picture if we ever do. :) Love this little girl!

Standin' Around

Lena is officially an expert at standing up. This is a picture of her standing up next to the music table that Randy's parents got her. She's been having tons of fun with that thing!

Relaxin' at the Table

Lena's high chair happens to fit perfectly next to our table so that we don't have to use the tray if we don't want to. Well we were eating dinner one evening and look over to find that Lena discovered that she could get her foot up on the table. She was just relaxin' with her foot up eating her little puffs. :) Cutie pie!
