BIG Helper

Lena is not only a big girl but she is also a big helper...  I had a load of laundry unfolded on my bed and came back to it looking like this.  Lena had folded all of these things by herself without me knowing!  This girl is amazing!  I don't even have to redo the folding because she's really good at it.  :)

My Big Girl

Lena is always quick to remind me that she is a "big girl".  She really has grown up so much and can do so many things by herself... One of these things is getting things that are high up with the help of a chair... Chairs are her new favorite tool.  Yesterday i was so impressed when i saw her actually pick up a chair and carry it across the room.  I can't believe how strong she is!  I caught a picture of it:

Two Months

Walter is two months old now!  Time is really flying.  The fussyness has started to taper off and i feel like we're getting a routine down...we try to keep the rhythm eat, wake, sleep, repeat down and it's been working well for him...I think my biggest mistake was trying to find a rhythm using the clock when really he eats well each time when i follow the eat, wake, sleep routine...meaning i feed him every time he wakes up and make sure he's had a nap before feeding him.

Walter has been up to some fun things this month like:

-cooing
-smiling
-starting to grab at things
-laughing (for the first time on April 27th)

He is barely starting to grow out of his new born clothes and getting into 0-3 month clothes.

Two Month Dr. appt.

We went to Walter's two month appointment yesterday and he weighed 10 lbs (15th percentile) and was 24.5 inches long (98th percentile) .... So it looks like he's long and skinny like his sister... He's also doing everything he should be and the doctor was super impressed with how strong he already is :)   pictures to come:

Walter's Blessing

We blessed Walter today and it turned out to be such a wonderful day.  Of course Walter cried during his blessing like his sister but the blessing was beautiful none the less.  One of the main things i remember in it was the blessing to have compassion on other people and i new just then that my little Walter really has been blessed with a loving little spirit.  He is such a sweet heart and when gas isn't bothering him he is always so happy with great big smiles...he's been getting so excited about talking and its so much fun to see him try so hard to make the sounds come out of his mouth.  
After the blessing was so wonderful with friends and family around...i really appreciate all if the support they offer. 

Swimming! (it's been a while)

My in-laws came up for the blessing (naturally) and some stayed in a hotel with a pool!  Randy and Grandpa took her swimming with the boys while the ladies made the trek with Walter to a bridal shower.  I think it was my first time out of the house with him and it went pretty well... after I got him to eat for me.  :)

Home with the Kiddos

Adjusting to two kids has been an adventure for sure.  Lena was so excited one of the days to be wearing the same colors at Walter... so we decided to take a matchy matchy picture. :)  Then in the other pictures she is enjoying some peanut butter toast on the counter by me... thought it was cute so I included those pictures here.  I count my one-on-one time with my little girl to be very precious... and unfortunately pretty rare.
