Reading to Big Bear

Lena LOVES books and has been so cute to read (repeat them) and I'm so surprised at how much she remembers!  She was so cute today and sad down to read her "Big Bear Book" to Big Bear. :)

~38.5 Weeks

Piano Time

I got my husband back this weekend!!!  For the past four weeks or so Randy has been working everyday, all day, except for Sunday... about 70 hours a week.  Well management finally realized that they were pushing these poor engineers too much and on Friday afternoon before 6:00pm they told him to leave and not come back until Monday... wow... it felt crazy having him home for the whole weekend and we LOVED every second of it.  He was so happy to have time with his girls and was happy to do anything as long as it was with us.  So when he asked "what should we do now?" and Lena said, "I want to play piano" he jumped at the opportunity to play it with her.  They were so cute together and turned on some of the pre-programmed songs in the organ and danced.  Oh it was so fun to watch!!!

I asked Lena:  "Are those your glasses?"  She said: "They're my sungasses!"

Yes we found some... WATERMELON

So we have a picture on one of our walls of one of Lena's first time eating watermelon... yes... she was in love at first bite.  Well, the other week she noticed this picture and INSISTED on having watermelon... I tried to explain to her that we can only get watermelon in the Summer when it's warm outside... she cried and cried but there was nothing I could do about it.  Well, a couple of weeks later we were at the store and low and behold... they had mini watermelons!  I didn't even know watermelon existed in the winter.  They weren't outrageously expensive either so we decided to get her a treat.  Here she is thoroughly enjoying her treat.

37 Weeks!

And here I am at 37 weeks with our Little Mister:

We are getting so close!  At my last appointment (Feb. 7th... about a week after this picture) I learned that the results from my Strep B test came back NEGATIVE!!!  Yay, no being hooked up to an IV for antibiotics.  She also "checked me" to see how I was progressing and I was dilated to a 2 and 50% effaced. She predicted a week and a half longer at that point which would put me at having this baby around February 18th.  The rest of my family guessed too... here are the guesses:

Dad: February 21st
Mom: February 22nd
Randy: February 24th
Sam: February 24th
Jessie: February 22nd (late at night)
Alex: February 16th
Rosie: February 23rd
Olga: February 20th
Eva: February 15th

Llama Llama Red Pajama

Rosie bought the fabric to make red pajamas just like Llama Llama for the kids.  I finished these in the beginning of December but she didn't like them and refused to wear them... well guess what... the other night she, by her own free will, CHOSE to wear these pajamas. :)  Yay!  So now you get a picture of her modeling the pajamas I made.

Shopping!

I ran some errands with Rosie in town and of course the kids couldn't help but notice the shopping carts that were just their size!  It was pretty scary watching them try to navigate by themselves while pushing a shopping cart... Lena insisted on looking everywhere except for where she was pushing her cart.  Thanks to all of those patient shoppers out there willing to watch out for Lena and Jimmy. :)
