Lena Elizabeth Williams

On June 23rd, 2010 at 8:12 pm Lena Elizabeth Williams joined our family. She weighed 8 lbs 4 oz and was 20 inches long.

From the moment I laid eyes on our sweet little baby I was in love. Her sweet little cry and adorable dimples stole my heart in that first moment. It really is an amazing feeling to see your own little one for the first time, the one you've been waiting to meet for nine months with great anticipation. I cannot explain how wonderful it is.

Looking back and remembering the first time I met Lena has made me realize how much I've really gotten to know her. In those first moments I knew that I loved her so much but couldn't imagine how much better it could just keep getting!

Things That Make Me Smile :)

Lena running to me with a big smile when I get home from work.
Hearing Lena make words with her sweet little voice.
Playing Ultimate Frisbee during my lunch at work.
The way Lena kicks at hyper speed when I'm changing her diaper... yes it makes it difficult, but I just have to smile.
Getting chocolate from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory :)
Being able to cuddle with Lena and sleep in at the same time. :)
Staying up on Sunday night with Randy watching the short videos on MormonMessages.com.
Watching a conference talk by President Monson
Randy constantly quoting "Despicable Me" when saying, "Quiet down fish!"
Running 4 miles for the first time in my life

What Makes Lena Giggle?

Turning my head back to face her after she specifically turned it away with her hand.
Putting my mouth on the couch and saying "wwwwwwwaaaa" while taking it off of the couch.
Bouncing a ball in the air with my hand.
Blowing Klenex up in the air with my mouth.
Tickling her under the arms.
Chasing her on my hands and knees.
Poking a blanket through the holes in her touch and feel books.
Randy washing the windows at the gas station while she is sitting in her car seat.
Holding her arms and helping her walk down the stairs with sound effects. :)
Having her lean back on my hands while sitting, then doing the drop and catch move
Tickling her armpits with my tongue (don't worry, no BO on this baby :) )
Tickling her neck with my tongue
Pulling on the string that turns the light on and off in Eva's closet
Eva tossing the baby wipe package in the air and saying "WOOO" then catching them
Peek-a-boo
Poking my tongue at her from between her crib bars
Bouncing on the Bed
Raspberries
